I have been a Honda customer since 2004. Recently I wanted to purchase a brand new vehicle so I went in to Arrowhead Honda. In the course of doing business with Arrowhead Honda, I was consistently LIED TO, BULLIED, PUSHED AROUND, DECEIVED, NEGLECTED, and then dropped completely with no further help or remedy despite repeated requests from the receptionist all the way up to the highest management. The worst person in the place was "Dino", who is simply a salesman but told me he was the General Manager to trick me into a deal with him. I was entered into a loan agreement for a Honda Civic Sport (MSRP $24,000) for a contractual obligation of $43,000! These people have ignored me, lied to me, kicked me out of the dealership when the deal was finalized against my wishes with missing signatures and no explanations. Not only that, they shopped my loan around endlessly despite my excellent credit score causing a high amount of inquiries on my report. I hope that anyone who reads this will see what horrible and unprofessional people Arrowhead Honda employ and will drive miles out of their way to avoid them. I will be screaming this from the mountaintops in an effort to keep other unsuspecting auto purchasers from being victims of Arrowhead Honda’s deceitful and underhanded business practices.

A 29k civic touring was all of a sudden 34k when He gave me the quote sheet . Wanted to low ball me on my trade in pshhhh. Not my first rodeo buddy , you should focus on your customer service and instead of just f**** people over try to help. Money was not the problem, I could’ve paid cash for the car just didn’t want to do that .

This review is specific to one problem employee - Graham Faria. I was recently in the market for a Honda Insight EX. I had an appointment scheduled with Graham to drive over and see one in the evening. On the day of the appointment Graham called to inform me that the vehicle had sold and he would inform me when they had more in stock. So far so good. A few days later Graham calls me and asks if I'm interested in seeing a Touring edition. I wasn't. I'm quite tall and the Touring has less headroom due to the moon roof. I explained that it needed to be an EX. He then said something to the degree of "Oh, you're the guy that didn't show up" and then hung up on me. That was a little odd, but whatever. Maybe he was having a bad day. He called me up again a couple of days later asking if I was still interested. By this point I had already found the car I wanted at a better price and was moving forward to purchase it at another dealer. I told him "No Thanks, I've already found the car at a better price at a dealer closer to me but thanks for following up". His reply was "Oh, well we don't have one in stock anyway" and then he hung up on me again. So his attitude wasn't a one off situation. I was annoyed enough at this point that I called and spoke with the sales manager explaining Graham's interaction with me and how it was unacceptable. He was apologetic. Fair enough. I'd already got my new car from another dealer. No big deal. We should be all good. Well, since that conversation Graham has called me 2 more times. The last time I answered I just laughed and asked if he was serious at which point he hung up on me, again. He left me another voicemail today. Honestly, Arrowhead Honda might be an amazing dealership, but Graham Faria is having some trouble doing his job and the fact that he continues to make confused phone calls to me even after I spoke with the sales manager is ridiculous.

I live in Ohio and found one of the last 2020 Civic Si Coupes left in the US at Arrowhead. My man, Graham Faria, salesman, helped make it my reality. Graham along with Jeff Sokol, finance, and Dave Warren, manager were a pleasure to deal with. I had circumstances that prolonged the buying process and we all hung in there together! They worked with me, were very understanding of my situation and were very patient, all while being completely fair, transparent, upfront and honest. I would recommend them and Arrowhead to anyone! We thought we had our car, on our way to the appointment the salesperson texted to say he had an emergency and had to pass us off to an associate. When we arrived and met the associate, he notified us that the car we had come to buy had been sold the night before. There were no other similar cars on the lot and he was sure he could get one in in the next day or two by swapping with another dealer, BUT we would be required to sign documents purchasing the car - SIGHT UNSEEN and having never had the chance to test drive it. We felt a bait and switch had just been tried on us, so we immediately left the dealership, went to another Honda Dealer and had our new car THAT NIGHT! Highly recommend their competition, Earnhardt Honda in Avondale!!!!

I flew in from illinois to buy a car we found online at this dealership, also the dealership was recommended to us ... The salesman abandoned us during the transactioni. The sales manager was rude and told us we can go somewhere else to buy a car. They must not have liked we had our own financing because they sure did not want to do anything for us and there finance guy was very unprofessional. He talked so fast and didn't even get our paper work done right . Seriously 500$ for doc fees and they can't get it right ... Oh and watch out for the hidden fees they want to skip over .. He didn't even give us paper work of what we signed . Had to go back and demand to get the paperwork right and copies . I also had to bring a document in for them to sign for our lender and since he was gone for the next 2 days which I had no idea .. they were going to wait till he got back and I had to argue that it had to be done to close the loan . Noone even bothered to show us the features of the car , we picked it up the following day in hopes someone would walk thru the features , but no Went back the next day and talked with the customer service manager she is very nice and very helpful... But none of our experience was her fault ... We spent 30k here and felt like we did not matter at all

BUYER BEWARE.

BUYER BEWARE. We test drove a 2023 Honda HR-V EX-L AWD model on two separate occasions a week ago at Arrowhead Honda. The salesman was cordial and we were agreeable with the features and invoice price, which was $30,195. We returned yesterday evening prepared to buy, but our salesman was gone for the day. We sat down with another salesman to get a trade-in value on a 2015 Honda CR-V EX-L that is in very good condition, original owner, with 96,000 miles and no mechanical or cosmetic defects and no accidents. Similar pre-owned used vehicles are listed for sale by this dealer and other dealers at approximately $17,000 to $18,000. That’s when the same old dealership tactics took over. The new salesman came back and informed us that the trade-in value is only worth $9,000. Meanwhile, the huge screen on the dealership wall behind the salesman kept playing a video stating that Honda is the best brand for holding its value from any other brand. The KBB trade-in value is between $13,800 to $14,600. Next, the price of the new vehicle suddenly changed with the dealer adding $2,295 for the dealership’s Honda Protection Package. The salesman could not provide any details on the breakdown of the $2,295, but said it covered window tinting, interior protection, and exterior paint protection. This is total nonsense because this is a brand new car and a last minute mark-up by the dealer. I asked if I could have a copy of the finance details presented. The salesman said he could not, so I took a photo of the details he presented anyway. Afterward, I discovered that the Vehicle License Tax (the former LIEU Tax) was not calculated correctly. Instead of calculating the VLT on 60% of the invoice price, they calculated the VLT on the entire invoice price. The VLT presented by the dealer was $846.89. The VLT should have been $507.28, a difference of $340. Needless to say, we were very turned off by their tactics and did not buy the new 2023 HRV. When we were leaving, a higher level salesman, who we had not seen before, but who was obviously controlling the lowball trade-in offer, the additional up-charge to the invoice, and the overinflated VLT, followed us out into the parking lot and stated, “We deserve to make a profit.” Really? Maybe so, but you do not have the right to shake down and gouge the customer to the tune of $8,000 by our calculation. TALK ABOUT UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We can only imagine that the reason the lead salesman approached us out the door is because we took a photo of the finance details that are obviously misleading and inaccurate. We were excited to buy the 2023 Honda HR-V EX-L AWD, but the dealership tactics made this a lousy experience. Needless to say, we will not be doing business with Arrowhead Honda in the future.

It turns out that the Odyssey we bought does not have an...

It turns out that the Odyssey we bought does not have an automatic trunk level adjustment. So the manual trunk lid hangs too low and I keep banging my head on it and the service department tells me there is nothing that can be done about it. In checking the Carfax I come to find out that with only 2,000 miles on this vehicle the trunk (hatch) supports were replaced - probably the owner, like me was hoping that the trunk would open higher if they were replaced. Unfortunately when we bought the van we had the same issues and I have a hunch the previous owner got sick of banging their head on the trunk every time they got groceries and went on a trip and traded it in. This is a quality control issue for your Odysseys without automatic trunks that can be adjusted. Now I am faced with the decision of whether to keep the vehicle, putting up with this poor design and risk brain damage from hitting my head on the trunk (hatch), or trading it in for an Odyssey with an automatic hatch adjustment and get gouged for more of my hard-earned money. Bahn, our sales person is not to blame for this design flaw nor are any of the service people we have encountered. They are good people and treated me fairly to the best of their ability. It's sad because it is a design flaw that you are making your customers pay for. Our last Odyssey 2006, was still running well and we would still be driving it if it had not been in an accident in December 2020. I never once hit my head on the hatch. We had very few major repairs in 14 years and the engine still purred along. I would still recommend this dealership. I would just tell people not to get an Odyssey with a manual hatch. I arrived home and was looking at the sales contract and was wondering why it was so high and my son looked at it and notice that a extended warranty was adding in the amount of $ 3500 which I was never asked if I wanted it nor was I was informed about it. Now Fast forward to the end of March 2021 and My son is now dead set on the 2021 Toyota Camry and Avondale Toyota quote him a 0.9 APR and the next day we were going to Avondale Toyota to get the Car. Well I tell him that he should looked at the Honda Accord which he never had to interest in. We go to earnhardt but they don't have the color he want but gave us a rate according to Honda Finance and also gave us a Good price for the Honda, But Arrowhead had the color that he wanted and even though I had my reservation, I said let go to Arrowhead. When we arrived at the Dealership we tell them everything Earnhardt offer us and they said they will match it and I said good. One thing was the three years oil change and tire rotations. They agree. so we seat down and proceed to filled out the Credit App and while were waiting, Sales Manager by the Name of Hydra Al-Alak comes over and sit down and say's that they can't give is the 3 years oil changes and the best he could do is that if we shoot the basketball and make the shot that he will give us a free oil change and I said, so now we have to work for it when it was already promise that they would match the other dealership and then he said the best he could do is 1 oil change and at that point I told my son to get up and lets go. As we were backing up Bahn walked over to my car and said where are you going and I told him what happened and he said that you will get the oil changes for three years and that he doesn't know what Hydra was talking about so we park the car and go back inside. I told them I wanted to see the three years maintenance before we sign any sell contract. My son filled out a credit App and everything is looking good and I asked what his rate, That APR for those who don't know. We find out it's 2.9. not bad I said to my son. Now when we go back to finance and sit down with Walt and ask what the rate is again, now I'm hearing it's 5 %. Now I was thinking of walking out again but I said we will refinance with Navy Fed. Now Walt said what rate do you think you will get with Navy fed and I said for 72 month I know he will get 2.9. Walt shows us three option which together add up to $ 3200 and said that he can get the rate down to 2.9 % for us. I thought to myself that strange. I did my research and for those of you don't know. The dealership add to your rate, example. You go to the dealership to buy a car, they will shop your loan and let's say the bank says you're approved for 2.9 %. well the dealership will add point's to it and raise it to 5% or 6 % and tell you that the bank approved you for the for the higher rate. Yes, this is legal but it morally wrong. Now here the good part. if you buy some of there product's, Alarm, Gap and extended warranty for a $ 3200. they will give you the 2.9 % interest rate, that how you buy your rate down. Now you may wonder what does the dealership get out of raising rate, well they get a kick back from the bank so they make money off of your loan. The part I hate the most is the lies. see, they tell you the bank approved you for this rate, but that a lie. the bank approved you for a lower rate but the dealer tell you a different rate. that within it self is a lie. see, they feed off your ignorance. what you don't know can and will always hurt you. That why its better to arrange your financing before you come to the dealership. Now again, My son was not looking for a Honda. Now I brought a car here before so if I recommend someone to buy a car, I will get $ 100. Another lie, April 1st I went to the Dealership and spoke to a sale manager, one that I've never meet before and he was a very nice man and I told him my situation about the referral and he said to call the next day and ask to speak to Bahn or David and they will take care of in regards to the referral. April 2nd I call Bahn and told him about me speaking to a Manager about me getting the $ 100 and he took my number and said that someone will call me. well wouldn't you know, nobody called. April 3rd I call Bahn back and he said nobody call me back and I said no. He said his number guy was supposed to call me and I said nobody call and I ask who's is this number guy and he said it Hydar and I said wow, the worst guy at the dealership you went and ask him, he then tell me that Hydar said for my son to the Honda Survey and then I will get the $ 100. wow, Blackmail. can we get any lower. if you refer someone to buy a car you get $ 100. but no, do the survey. we will do Honda Survey tomorrow. we will do the survey tomorrow and you guy will get only 0's. Walt said if anything is less the 5 on the survey to come and see them and they will make it right, well I tried and tried to no avail. if Honda has a option to write or tell them I will relay this message to them also.

Deceptive pricing with thousands added to sticker price. Low ball trade offer. Lengthy delivery delay after being coaxed into dealership with promise that vehicle was "in the state" and could be here within a few days. Actual delivery was 12 days after that initial contact. Dealer claimed they had no way to track their own inventory and couldn't locate delivery truck.

I just got home after driving there on.

I just got home after driving there on. 40 minute drive. I was told over the phone a civic sport was available to view. I arrived and spent less than 5 minutes at this dealership. The BIGGEST waste of 5 minutes of my life. I checked it out and didn’t even test drive it. I was willing to make a quick deal and buy this car. The gave me a wishy-washy appraisal and said Christian: “my manager said we can do about 18thousand”….will you be financing or…:.” Me: It’s cash, I’ve been approved through USAA since my veteran rates are better” Salesperson Christian: oh ok cool, let me tell my manager. ::Comes back after 20 seconds:: Christian: oh, my manager is saying that we currently aren’t doing 3rd party financing, only doing deals through Honda Finance or our partnered banks that we do deals with” Me: Oh, so my money isn’t good here? Because you guys aren’t getting a cut on this deal? This is bad business” If you know any veterans wanting a Honda during these rough times where car prices are already though the roof, and interest rates are sky high, gas is high, Arrowhead Honda states you need to use THEIR money. Don’t you dare come here trying to save any money for yourself. The deal completely has to be on their stipulations. This is a bad look for Honda.

I contacted Arrowhead Honda on 10/24/22 about an ad they placed on the Internet for a Honda CRX for $31,464. I called and was connected to the Internet product manager who confirmed the price and redirected me to a sales associate named Jermaine. I again confirmed the price with Jermaine and he also sent me photos of the car. I stressed with Jermaine that I was expecting this to be the actual price of the car and that there would be no undisclosed hidden fees. After seeing the car, I agreed to buy it and told Jermaine that I would fly there in several days to pay for the car and drive it back to Texas. After buying a plane ticket and making the travel arrangements I called the next day to reconfirm the details that I was led to believe initially only to discover from the sales manager (David) that the real price was $38,000 (including over $4,500 in hidden "fees" that were undisclosed earlier). The ad was clearly deceptive and after this bait-and-switch I stopped the sale. I have never filed a complaint with a dealer before, but I am pointing this behavior out in hopes that management will stop this sort of deceptive advertising going on at Arrowhead Honda.
