2019 Honda CR-V

Fans of SUVs everywhere know the Honda CR-V as a reliable option that offers great fuel economy, lots of cargo room, and trusted safety. So, what does the current model of this SUV have to offer drivers in Phoenix, Surprise, and West Valley? Arrowhead Honda finds out for you with this 2019 Honda CR-V review.

Engine Specs

The Honda CR-V delivers a sporty and efficient performance with two available powertrains. Both options run with a quick-shifting Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with Sport Mode.

The base engine is a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine with Intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC). This design helps boost production and allows it to get up to 184 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque.

The second option is an exciting 1.5L 4-cylinder Turbocharged engine that can reach 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque.

Each one of these options can help you bring some extra cargo or dirt bikes with you by towing up to 1,500 pounds.

Plus, with the CVT and i-VTEC features working together, you’ll get excellent fuel economy. The Honda CR-V can get up to an EPA-estimated 28 MPG city and 34 MPG highway[i].

Interior Dimensions

There’s seating for up to five people inside the Honda CR-V. Its two rows of seats offer 105.9 cubic feet of passenger room, so you’ll be comfortable whether you’re behind the wheel or in the middle of the back seat.

Safety

The Honda CR-V was built to keep you safe with a scientifically designed Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) Body Structure. During an accident it can redirect force away from the passenger area.

Inside you’ll be protected by six standard airbags, including side curtain airbags that cover both rows of seats. Even the seatbelts offer better protection with an automatic tensioning system up front and Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren (LATCH) in the back seats.

There are also lots of available driver assistance features to help prevent accidents from happening. The Honda Sensing® system looks out for every angle of your SUV with features like:

  • • Collision Mitigation Braking System™
  • • Road Departure Mitigation System
  • • Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow
  • • Lane Keeping Assist System
