Here are a few of the new technologies Honda has developed to keep you and your family safe.

ACE Body Structure

Created exclusively for Honda, this body design enhances passenger protection as well as crash compatibility in frontal collisions. It does this by distributing the energy released from a crash more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle.

Multiple Airbags

Every Honda model is outfitted with dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags in order to help protect you in the event of a collision. Some select models are also equipped with SmartVent® front side airbags and side curtain airbags with rollover sensor. However, it is always important to remember to wear your seat belt when in a car because it is your primary mode of protection1.

Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Dynamic Guidelines

With the Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, you can get a better view of what is behind your car with three different angles: normal, top-down and wide2. This way, it is almost like having an extra pair of eyes helping you check your surroundings.

Lane Departure Warning

By using the Lane Departure Warning, your vehicle can detect unintended lane departures from detected lanes. When leaving a lane unintentionally, alerts will flash and sound to grab your attention so you can correct the lane drift3.

Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)

If you happen to be drifting too close to the side of the road while driving at 45 to 90 mph without using a turn signal, RDM will alert you with rapid vibrations on the steering wheel. If you do not adjust and continue to leave the road, RDM can also apply steering torque and braking to help keep your vehicle in the proper lane4.

Forward Collision Warning

Combined with the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning uses a small camera that is mounted at the top of the front windshield to discover the presence of vehicles in front of you. If the Forward Collision Warning system finds that your vehicle is in danger of a collision, it will set off audio and visual alerts to warn you5. If you do not respond to the warnings, the CMBS with automatically apply brake pressure to help prevent a possible collision6.

Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)

The Collision Mitigation Braking System can help bring your vehicle to a stop when the system thinks that a possible collision with a vehicle in front of you is unavoidable by using a millimeter wave radar sensor. A warning will sound and brake pressure is automatically applied, if the system finds it necessary6.

[5] FCW cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat.
